The King’s Highway is one of the world’s oldest continuously used routes. It linked the ancient regions of Bashan, Gilead, Ammon, Moab and Edom, later serving Nabataean trade, Roman transport and religious pilgrimage. Today the scenic road passes through highland landscapes and major historic sites.
